On a Whim Quilt for Loki (WIP)

(Sorry for poor quality photos in advance)

I really wanted to make Loki a special blanket too and this has been in the works for I think a good year. Me + Sewing= Lazy.

The top is sewn together, YES! I'm aiming to get it done ASAP as I'm running out of time, but I figure I can also work on it once the little babe is here too. No biggie if I don't finish it. Right?

All I have to do it go buy some batting, fabric for the back and binding. I am not making my own binding. What? Your not making your own you say? No way, I am in nooo mood, in fact I'm dreading that part all together. It's store bought all the way.

On another note, If I'm gone a super long time with no updates I apologize in advance also, but I'll have something a bit more pressing than updating the old blog. We'll see!

C'est Fini! Moderne log cabin baby blanket!

Finally done! Yeah!! Not blocked as you may be able to tell. I also took some liberties with the actually pattern and did it my own way. Not sure about the way I did the border but kinda felt like I had no choice unless I wanted to buy another color to use on the border. So I am officially ready for baby.

 Some blanket details:
Needles            US 7 / 4.5 mm
Knit Picks Swish Worsted
600 grams 1320 yards

Hello: a picture less update.

Just a quick note that I've slipped back into my lazy non-blogging ways as the baby clock ticks down. I've been running around getting it together so I feel ready for lil #2. The thing I am in desperate need of is to finish that dang blanket. I'm "this" close. I'll post pics as soon as it's done, barring any early arrivals.

And the Winner is....

by super scientific methods (drawn out of a hat) it is:
Kitten With a Whiplash
Woo.. Congratulations!

This givaway went better than the last (at least I actually managed to give something away) not as great as I'd hoped. Maybe my upcoming free pattern will bring in more traffic. I guess we will see.
