Some success

I went to the fiber fair this weekend and scored some pretty good stuff. I only spent $47 bucks! That's really good for me!

Loki loved it as he just saw hundreds and hundreds of giant balls to throw around. FUN!

We love our babylegs

Molly from Tree City Diapers brought Loki back a pair babylegs that match Bumgenius diaper colors. She that when she saw them she thought of Loki. I wonder why???

Bamboo and no wool

I ran out of wool last week (maybe that's why I've not been motivated?) and I've been experimenting with different types of stuffing. I bought a bag of Ecocraft PLA Fiber made from corn and a bag of bamboo fiber.

I stuffed my latest bunnies 3 with the "ecofil" and 1 with the bamboo. I discovered that bamboo is a bit tricky to work with and was really hard to embroider the face of my bunny. The needle just did not want to glide through the fiber. needless to say I finished up and got a rather interesting bunny out of the deal (and a sore finger). He looks a little monster-like or maybe I'm being hard on myself who knows. The other thing with bamboo is that it's rather squeaky. Weird and unexpected. It seems to fade the more you handle it, but it's  definitely there. It's kinda like a musical bunny!

I can't wait to solve my wool problem this weekend I'm going to go to the Spinners Flock sale on Sunday. Woo Hoo! I love going to this is wonderful. http://www.spinnersflock.org

Lazy, Lazy, Lazy, Lazy, Lazy, Lazy Giedra

So I got 3 more bunnies finished and then hit a wall. Blah. I keep trying to restart but am lacking the motivation. I cut out the pieces for another Triple Threat security blanket yesterday but can't seem to get it sewn up. Ahh. Come back motivation, come back.

Finally

So, I've had this Robert Kaufman  "On a Whim" fabric for over a year now and have been meaning to make a quilt for little Loki. I think I've been afraid to cut into it as I often am with new and lovely fabrics.  I stall, and stall.

My favorite is the owl print and of course I messed up when I was cutting it. Ahhhh, oh well.

Here is a shabby (low light, dark room) picture of the layout I think I am going with

4 MORE!

I got over my laziness and put the finishing touches on four more bunnies.

I was pleasantly surprised that the one I thought was going to turn out to look like an alien is actually my favorite.

Wild, well not really, weekend!

My little sister got married on Saturday and she couldn't have had nicer weather. The day was sandwiched in between two days of not the best weather, everyone had a great time! There was a minor snafu in regards to the music (my job) My ipod totally went wonky, all my music was wiped right off it. It had to reboot and then we were good to go. Good thing Rodger brought the computer. Anyway, we all stayed out too late. Poor Loki was asleep on the dance floor, because his mom is a dancin' fool.

Despite all the fun wedding stuff I managed to get 5 bunnies cut out, 4 bunnies sewn and my machine threaded with pink to start sewing more. Whew! I'm trying to crank it out and get it going before the crazy holiday season is upon us and I find I have no time for anything at all.

Pictures of stuff to follow just because it makes the post more exciting.
